A delegation from the political office of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement visits the Chinese embassy to discuss the prospects for developing relations between the two countries.

A delegation from the political bureau of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement paid a visit today (Tuesday) to the Chinese embassy, during which it met with Beijing’s ambassador to Baghdad, Cui Wei.
The movement said in a statement, “During the visit, which was widely welcomed by the embassy and its advanced staff, the delegation touched upon the active role that China plays in the world and the region in particular, especially since it did not participate in the invasion of Iraq in 2003, and also remained immune from the economic blockade that imposed it.” imposed on the Iraqis”.
According to the statement, “The delegation conveyed the greetings of the General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, to the People’s Republic of China, and his congratulations on the occasion of their National Day, while the delegation expressed its aspiration for the continuation and development of relations between the two countries in various fields”.
For his part, the Chinese ambassador appreciated, according to the statement, “the position of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq movement and the visit of the Political Bureau delegation, expressing the existence of sincere feelings linking the Iraqi and Chinese peoples”.
The Chinese ambassador said during the meeting that “his country represents the experience of the largest developing country in the world, and that it supports developing countries and stands by them according to the idea and principle of (a shared future for humanity), but unfortunately there are some countries that do not believe in this concept and do not believe in it. They view themselves as Above all, given that it has the largest number of economic resources and influence and wants to impose its views by interfering in the affairs of other countries with regard to how to exercise governance and manage the state”.
He pointed out that “the role of Chinese companies abroad is not limited to financial gain only, but rather they work according to a vision that differs from Western countries, stressing that cooperation between Baghdad and Beijing is built on the basis of mutual exchange to develop the industry and raise the level of the economy”.
