Sheikh Khazali discusses with the Russian Ambassador to Iraq the political and security situation in the country and the region.

The General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, received today (Tuesday) in his office in Baghdad, the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev. During the meeting, the latest political and security developments in the country and the region were discussed, developments in the regional and international situation and their repercussions, and the repercussions of the continued Zionist aggression against the people Palestinian.
A statement by Sheikh Khazali’s media office stated that His Eminence discussed during the meeting the importance of the Russian role in the field of arming and developing the capabilities of the Iraqi security and military forces, and ways of cooperation in the field of combating terrorism.
In turn, the Russian ambassador renewed his country’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations, develop cooperation between the two countries, and work to bring about a radical change in the relationship between the Iraqi political blocs, which will reflect positively on the political and security reality in Iraq.
